Eva Carroll

Biography

Eva Carroll comes from Feakle . Her musical life began when she started learning the concertina from local concertina player Mary McNamara from Tulla. It was from Mary that she picked up the typical laidback and swingy style of East Clare. Growing up, Eva regularly played music with her sister Rosa. She now lives in Dublin where she has met some great musicians who she plays and collaborates with regularly. Some of her biggest influences are her teacher Mary and Cormac Begley. Her concertina has brought her up and down the country and further afield – Sweden where she taught and performed at the Glenntown Irish music festival and to France where she played at the Bègles Cod Festival.
