Come and join us for an open session to mark the launch of this years Tuamgraney Harp Festival.
Tea and coffee available on arrival.
Please not there will be a short break in the middle of each workshop so please bring a snack/refreshments if desired.
Enjoy a coffee/lunch accompanied by live harp music. Venue TBC.
This is a new adult-only mixed traditional instruments workshop (ages 16+) is designed for players with at least two years of playing experience. The workshop will focus on learning tunes from the local area and will be taught by ear in a supportive group setting.
New workshop for anyone who would like to try the harp for the first time. This workshop will also include a presentation from each of the harp makers with tips for anyone thinking of investing in their own harp.
This years festival competitions will take place in the wonderful setting of St. Cronins church and are a fantastic opportunity to showcase both individual and groups skills with categories to suit all players.

This harp recital showcases the music explored during the ensemble workshop which took place earlier that day. Alongside the ensemble performances, you will also hear the tutors perform both individually and together. This is event is open to the public and free.
Cliodhna Donnellan , Eimear Coen (concertina) and Tony Campbell (Bouzouki) will be leading the closing session for this year’s festival.
